About us

About us

a brief history

Beulah Church is blessed with a long and rich heritage, dating all the way back to March 6th, 1869 when 11 charter members and Rev. W. A. Lane started our church in Cobb County. By 1882, membership had grown to 66 and a larger building was needed. A new, wood frame building, was built right here on our current location. With God’s blessings, we have continued to grow and our current membership is over 1400, but our mission is still the same as our founders.

We believe that the bible is the true and inerrant word of God. We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the only way to salvation. We believe that God has called upon us to spread the good news of His gospel and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Jesus said these were the greatest commandments of all.

This is what we strive to do at Beulah Church: to keep His Commandments and to glorify His holy name!

"28 And one of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, What commandment is the first of all? 29 Jesus answered, The first is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one: 30 and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. 31 The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."

Mark 12:28-31

our mission and beliefs

Whether this is your first step on the journey, or you’ve been walking with Jesus for some time, we are excited to walk with you. Here at Beulah Church we desire to see every person strong in the word, deep in relationships, and living on mission for Christ. Together we can impact our community and the world. For more info on how we put this into action, check out our "Discipleship Pathway" page under the "About Us" tab.

what to expect

WHAT ARE THE WEEKEND SERVICES LIKE?

At Beulah Church, we want you to have a safe and meaningful Sunday experience.  When you arrive at our campus, you can expect to be greeted with a warm welcome by our First Impressions team, a complimentary cup of coffee, and any help you may need from our welcome desk. If you enjoy speciality coffees, we offer a range of hand crafted brews at our Beulah Coffee bar. All of the funds from our coffee station go towards our building note.

During our service you will experience dynamic worship, hear stories of real life change through video and special elements, and receive a God centered message from one of our pastors. We end every service with a "Call to Prayer" that we encourage our congregation to focus on throughout the week. An offering box is located at the back doors of the worship center if you feel led to donate. Our services typically last around an hour.

Doors to the worship center will open no later than 30 minutes before the start of the worship experience, so plan to arrive in plenty of time to park, head to the auditorium, and get settled in your seat. If you have children to check into our children’s ministry, we encourage you to plan additional time into your schedule.

What will happen during my first time visiting?

We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Here at Beulah, we love having visitors! We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. If you desire a more "hands-on" experience, head over to our welcome desk where there is a first time gift for you that includes info about our church.

what do i wear to a weekend service?

You’ll find our members wearing everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Sunday service. Come in wearing what is most comfortable for you!

What about my children?

BeulahPreschool and BeulahKids offer a place where children from nursery through sixth grade can discover and develop a passion for God. Through worship, teaching, and a variety of fun activities, children are exposed to God's Word and challenged to grow in their relationship with God.

Our children's worship experiences are fully staffed with adults and high school students who are committed to teaching and ministering to children. You can be confident that your child is well-cared for and having a great time learning about God while you worship. For more info, head over to our "Nursery" and "Children's" pages under the "Ministries" tab.

Do you offer Sunday School?

On Sunday mornings starting at 9:15am, we have some on-campus community groups that meet before our worship service. You can find out more details on our "Groups" page under our "Ministries" tab.
